WEll, my play was a huge success. It was extremely personally transforming -- I learned so much about myself and about what I am capable of as long as I put my mind to it. But it also transformed the lives of the 14 women involved. For example after seeing the show, Emily's (one of the actresses) dad decided that he would pay for her to go to school. The play also brought the audience together as they got to share their stories during the open mike following the play. It feels amazing to inspire others and I can't wait to create something else.
But as a result I raised $2,772!!! Bringing me very close to my goal. Now all I have to do is finish the training. In a little over a month I will be in Flordia!!! I can't wait.

So...I didn't post for over a month...
Here is a recap...February was a really, really tough month. I found it hard to train on a regular basis and the extremely cold temperatures made me want to hibernated. But I got through it and I feel really strong for battling the elements. As the weather begins to get warm, I am extremely satisfied to know that I can train through anything.
BUT more importantly, I decided to direct a play called THAT TAKES OVARIES! to raise money for LLS. If you live in Chicago, you must be there. It is a blast. March 20 and 21, 8pm at National Pastime Theater. Tickets are $20 and they will SELL OUT so get in touch with me to reserve your tickets today.
